WILDMEAT researcher, Dr Dan Ingram, led a Special Section in the Journal of Ethnobiology exploring the contemporary use of wild meat in the lives and livelihoods of people across a rural-urban gradient, provide examples of how use may be evolving in relation to the changing social, political, economic, cultural, and environmental contexts, and what this means for sustainable wildlife management and biodiversity conservation. As part of the Special Section, Dr Ingram also led an article on the social-ecological contexts of wild meat hunting, and explores the notion of just transformations for wild meat management.
