Paul Loundou

PhD Student at IRET

Paul Loundou is a PhD student and “Attaché de Recherche” at the Tropical Ecology Research Institute (IRET/CENAREST) in Gabon. His role in the WILDMEAT project is to map the stakeholders involved in the wild meat sector in Gabon. Results of this work will inform strategies to effectively disseminate and apply any reformed legislation and regulations. He has previously worked in assessing the level of well-being and livelihoods populations living in the vicinity of some protected areas of Gabon. He has also conducted assessments of the direct impacts of protected areas on local populations.
